Our Minnesota story began in Shakopee in 2005. In 2023, we made a new home in Burnsville at the former MN Home Outlet. Today, our showroom brings together sink-in seating, distinctive wood furniture, mattresses and finishing touches. Come explore, compare, and make yourself at home.

Brett’s furniture career began in 1987. His experience in design, product development, marketing and sales helped shape RCL around a simple idea: furniture shopping should be enjoyable, informative and personal.
Brandon Buckvold
Director of All Things Cool
Since joining in 2022, Brandon has helped connect every part of RCL, from the website and showroom to operations, warehousing and delivery. He brings a hands-on approach to making the whole experience work.
Marlena Buckvold
HR & Marketing
Marlena keeps people and communication at the heart of RCL. Her work spans HR, billing and social media, helping the team stay connected with customers and each other.
Paul Thompson
Photography & Product Specialist
Paul joined in 2023 with more than 20 years of photography experience. He captures the details of our furniture and helps customers imagine how those pieces could look and feel at home.
Austin Mastuseski
Operations Manager
Part of the RCL team since 2023, Austin helps keep the warehouse moving and looks for ways to make day-to-day operations better. Away from work, he enjoys family time and the outdoors.

Meet the RCL family
Brett Foster, founder
Brett is an entrepreneur, outdoorsman and family man. His furniture career began in 1987 at what is now HOM Furniture, followed by work at Ashley. His experience in product development, design, marketing and sales helped shape a simple idea: buying furniture should be enjoyable, informative and personal.
That idea became Really Cool Living in 2015. The goal remains to offer quality furniture at accessible prices, communicate clearly and treat customers like family.
Brandon Buckvold, marketing, sales and more
Brandon joined RCL in 2022 to help bring that vision to life. His work spans the website, customer service, sales, warehousing and deliveries. As part of our small team, he helps connect the details behind the scenes with the experience customers have in the showroom.
Outside work, Brandon shares life with his wife Marlena, son Giovanni and daughter Aubriella.
